An expressive and ripe nose offers up the essence of white-fleshed fruit and citrus aromas that are trimmed in hints of wood and smoke. As is virtually always the case, there is a bit more size, weight and mid-palate density to the broad-shouldered and exceptionally rich flavors that are at once powerful yet refined, all wrapped in a sappy, tension-filled and impressively complex and lingering finish. This harmonious effort should also age effortlessly. - BH

Very pale colour. Hyper elegant nose, impressive nervous tension, despite 13.3 alcohol and 3.15 pH, really lively, white fruit – this vineyard is really coming into its own since the vines hit 20 years old. A little touch of barrel; biscuit, but the wine is really together, beautiful texture and stretches out exceptionally well across a very long finish. Tasted: September 2018. - JG

Aromas of crisp green pear, clear honey, citrus oil, oatmeal and struck match introduce Ente's 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Gouttes d'Or, a full-bodied, deep and textural wine that's concentrated and complete while remaining racy and incisive. Tasted from bottle, this confirms its super showing last year and will be well worth seeking out. - WA
